With five years’ experience operating exclusively in the PE and AI ecosystem, Tom advises investors and senior portfolio leadership teams at the early stages of digital and data transformation, typically where organisations are seeking to modernise legacy infrastructure and embed AI in a commercially viable way. He works most closely with Operating Teams, Chief Data Officers, and senior technology leaders, helping them secure the right interim expertise to deliver change.
Tom is particularly focused on ensuring transformations are set up to succeed from the outset. He challenges organisations to be clear on data ownership, leadership accountability, and budget commitment, and is known for pushing back on AI initiatives that are not underpinned by robust data foundations. His approach is pragmatic and outcomes‑led, reflecting a deep understanding of both the technology and the operational realities within PE‑backed environments.
Working closely with AI engineers and senior data leaders, Tom brings a genuine subject‑matter depth to his work and is recognised for his high‑touch, transparent approach with both clients and candidates. He regularly shares market perspectives and practical insights on AI and data transformation.
Outside of work, Tom builds AI‑enabled tools with a focus on optimising efficiency as well as spending time playing rugby and cricket, mountaineering, and travelling when possible.
