You’ll play a key role in the external growth efforts of our client by managing M&A programmes, working closely with the Group Head of Corporate Development to help develop strategic growth plans and run acquisitions processes from start to finish. You will identify market trends, map market participants, support and manage due diligence processes, work on financial models, prepare presentations for the board and assist with any contract negotiations. This role offers a great level of autonomy as you will execute the transactions end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support clients growth strategy through identification and assessment of potential acquisitions
- Monitor the competitive landscape and build intelligence on clients markets and competitors
- Management of the entire transaction process when making acquisitions, with support from the Director of M&A.
- Preparation and analysis of financial data
- Preparation of financial models and support with all due diligence processes.
- Preparation of committee documents, approval packs, and presentation to the investment committee
- Preparation and participation in negotiations
- Working closely with the CEO and Head of Corporate Development to complete transactions.
- Ad-hoc project activity supporting corporate initiatives
Your Experience:
- CFA / ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
- 5+ years’ experience from Transaction Services/M&A Boutique or within Corporate Development
- Experience of working in a demanding environment with highly motivated and driven professionals
- Experience of working autonomously on projects and handling multiple work streams
- Strong financial modelling skills
- Proactive and driving personality with the aim of taking on responsibility quickly
- Great analytical & presentation skills
