Investment Banking Analyst (Financial Sponsors Group)

The team acts as a strategic advisor to private equity firms across a broad range of transactions and initiatives, working closely with sponsors to originate opportunities, evaluate portfolio companies and execute complex transactions alongside industry and product teams across the bank.

Responsibilities: 
 

• Support the execution of M&A, capital raising and broader strategic advisory assignments involving private equity clients and their portfolio companies
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses
• Prepare client presentations, pitch materials and transaction documentation
• Conduct industry, company and sponsor research
• Work closely with coverage and product teams across live transactions
• Develop relationships with sponsor clients and support broader business development initiatives
• Manage multiple live deal workstreams simultaneously

Candidate profile:

• Financial Sponsors
• Leveraged Finance
• M&A or industry coverage teams with significant private equity sponsor exposure

Successful candidates will typically possess:

• 1-3 years of investment banking experience
• Strong financial modelling, analytical and valuation capabilities
• Experience working with private equity clients and sponsor-backed businesses
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong attention to detail and project management abilities
• A genuine interest in private equity and the sponsor landscape
