As Chief of Staff, you act as the operational extension of the Chief Product Technology Officer. You ensure that decisions are made quickly, priorities are clearly communicated, and initiatives are cleanly executed – across all subsidiaries.
Your Responsibilities
You create the operational and organizational foundation that enables the CPTO to focus on what matters most:
Operation of the CPTO Office
You manage meetings, agendas, decision papers, and follow?ups – always keeping track of what is open and what needs to happen next.
Prioritization and Governance
You run the prioritization process across all tech projects and subsidiaries – ensuring the right topics are advanced with the right level of priority.
OKRs and Reporting
You own the OKR framework in the tech area, consolidate status updates, and prepare board and private equity materials.
Budget Control
You track headcount and project budgets, identify deviations early, and prepare decision?making documents.
Strategic Special Projects
You take on ad?hoc projects at the direction of the CPTO – e.g., market research, organizational analyses, vendor evaluations.
Partner Engagement
You manage external partners in close alignment with the CPTO and ensure their delivery quality.
Delivery Ownership
You ensure initiatives are executed – actively driving execution, closing gaps between teams, and making sure agreed?upon outcomes are actually delivered.
What We Expect From You
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role – ideally as a Chief of Staff, project lead, or in a top?tier consultancy (e.g., Engagement Manager / Project Leader / Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company)
- Tech affinity: You understand how software development and product development work – you don’t need to code, but you don’t get lost in technical discussions
- Strong organizational skills: You bring structure to complex environments without slowing things down
- Assertiveness: You represent positions clearly, follow up on agreements, and aren’t afraid to address uncomfortable issues or escalate when delivery is at risk
- Strong communication skills in German and English – you write precisely, present convincingly, and know what needs to be communicated to whom and when
- Discretion and trustworthiness: You handle sensitive C?level information
- Bonus: Experience in PE?backed environments or in healthcare
