A leading investment management firm, is seeking a Stewardship Analyst to advance its responsible investment and engagement strategy. This role is central to embedding stewardship principles across investment processes and meeting the requirements of the UK Stewardship Code. The successful candidate will work closely with fund managers, lead thematic research, and represent the firm in industry initiatives, making a tangible impact on ESG integration and corporate behavior.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with fund managers to integrate ESG considerations into investment decisions and due diligence.
- Conduct thematic and company-level ESG research to inform engagement priorities and portfolio reviews.
- Initiate and lead company engagements on material ESG issues, tracking milestones and outcomes.
- Provide voting analysis and liaise with ISS to ensure smooth execution of proxy voting processes.
- Draft engagement summaries, case studies, and contribute to the annual Stewardship Report.
- Represent the firm in industry forums and respond to client stewardship queries, RFPs, and due diligence questionnaires.
Experience
- 5–8 years’ experience in ESG integration, engagement, or stewardship within asset management..
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and governance trends; familiarity with UK Stewardship Code requirements.
- Experience with ESG data platforms (e.g., MSCI, ISS, AlphaSense) and proficiency in Excel; BI tools desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and articulate complex ESG concepts.
- Highly organised, proactive, and collaborative, with a passion for sustainability and responsible investment.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA or ESG Certificate are advantageous.
