The Corporate Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and qualifying new business opportunities that support the company’s strategic growth objectives. This role focuses on proactive lead generation, market research, relationship building, opportunity development, and cross functional collaboration with senior stakeholders to create a robust pipeline of prospective customers, partners, acquisition targets, or strategic alliances. The successful candidate combines strong analytical skills with a consultative sales approach to identify high-value opportunities and move them through the business development process
- Develop and execute lead generation strategies to identify new business opportunities aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Research target markets, industries, and companies to identify qualified prospects and emerging opportunities.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through outbound prospecting, networking, industry events, referrals, and digital research.
- Initiate contact with prospective clients, partners, and stakeholders through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other outreach channels.
- Qualify opportunities based on strategic fit, business needs, financial potential, and likelihood of success.
- Schedule and coordinate introductory meetings between prospects and senior leadership or sales teams.
- Maintain accurate records of prospect activity, pipeline status, and customer interactions within the CRM system.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Executive Leadership to develop targeted outreach campaigns and growth initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities.
- Prepare business cases, market analyses, and opportunity assessments to support strategic decision-making.
- Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, networking events, and industry associations.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers.
- Track and report lead generation metrics, pipeline performance, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators
The ideal candidate is commercially minded, a proven relationship builder, and thrives in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- 5 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or corporate development
- Demonstrated success in prospecting and generating qualified business opportunities.
- Experience working on M&A transactions, with heavy emphasis on origination / business development
