My client is a leading Financial Institution, well known for offering a range of financial services globally, including payments services, credit cards and loans. They have an established Strategy team and are seeking to expand with intellectually curious and analytically driven individuals to be at the forefront of shaping their Credit, Product, or Marketing strategies.
This role is ideal for former consultants with strong quantitative skills who are ready to move from advising to owning and executing strategy. You’ll work cross-functionally to solve complex business problems, using data and customer insights to develop actionable strategies that drive sustainable growth and improve customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Ownership: Define and drive strategic agendas across Credit, Product or Marketing domains.
- Data-Driven Insights: Leverage customer data, market research, and behavioral analytics to inform decision-making.
- Project Leadership: Lead initiatives from ideation through execution, collaborating with stakeholders across the business.
- Executive Engagement: Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership and influence decision-making.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor performance and iterate strategies based on evolving customer needs and market dynamics.
Example Projects
- Credit Strategy Optimisation: Analyze customer credit behavior to refine underwriting policies and improve risk-adjusted returns.
- Product Launch Strategy: Develop go-to-market plans for new financial products, including pricing, positioning, and customer segmentation.
- Marketing Effectiveness Analysis: Evaluate campaign performance and recommend data-driven improvements to targeting and messaging.
- Customer Journey Mapping: Identify friction points in the customer experience and propose enhancements to increase satisfaction and retention.
- Growth Forecasting Models: Build predictive models to assess the impact of strategic initiatives on customer acquisition and revenue.
Experience
- Background: 1.5 to 4 years in strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Oliver Wyman, Strategy&, LEK etc), ideally with exposure to financial services or consumer products.
- Education: Strong academic credentials in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science).
- Skills:
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfort with data tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Excel) and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Mindset: Curious, collaborative, and driven to make a tangible impact.
