The role is responsible for accounting duties including external financial reporting, internal management reporting, cash forecasting, and budgeting for OGAM LP and its subsidiaries.
Key Duties and Activities
- Liaise with other departments/ service providers (including corporate services providers, fund administrator, investor services) to obtain information as required.
- Ensure proper approvals are obtained for all expenditures before any payments are made.
- Thoroughly review all contracts to ensure that proper accounting is done.
- Differentiate between fund manager costs versus investment fund costs and process reimbursable costs.
- Review the bank accounts reconciliations.
- Calculate and post recurring monthly entries, including prepaid, fixed asset amortizations and accruals (including accrued expenses, rebates, and placement fees).
- Prepare monthly financial reports for senior management, including analysis of expenditure and revenue fluctuations.
- Cash forecast and budget cash flow.
- Analyze costs incurred to ensure that costs are properly allocated to the company or allocate to another OGAM affiliate or investment funds.
- Analyze services and adhere to transfer pricing policies, including the preparing of invoices for services rendered for OGAM affiliates.
- Assist in monthly consolidation.
- Prepare placement fee calculation and reports and interaction with marketing firms/ placement agents
- Perform management fee rebate and performance fee rebate calculations and reports.
- Prepare annual audit working papers.
- Preparation and finalization of the audited financial statements.
- Liaise with auditors to complete the audit.
Requirements
- CPA with experience in a public accounting firm.
- Sound understanding of fundamental financial principles, US GAAP and IFRS.
- High-level computer skills, specifically Excel.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (Fluent in English).
- Willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges.
- Proven organizational skills; able to cope with changing client needs and deliver successful results within agreed upon timeframes.
- Possess ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle numerous ad hoc responsibilities and prioritize effectively.
- Detail oriented; able to resolve problems using facts and sound reasoning.
- Self-motivated, professional and flexible; able to work both independently and as a part of a team.
- Experience in Oracle NetSuite, SAP Concur Expense & Invoice, Kyriba treasury system are preferred but not necessary.
