Value Creation / Portfolio Analyst - PE fund

The fund has an established and sophisticated Value Creation function that collaborates with the investment team to support our portfolio companies in their growth journey. Building on the continued success of the Value Creation team, they are expanding by adding a Portfolio Analyst to provide valuable insights and support decision-making across the portfolio and post-investment through financial and data analysis. Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a highly technical role. The successful candidate will primarily focus on portfolio monitoring, oversight, and performance tracking and analysis. They will conduct valuations, modeling, and forward-looking assessments of investee companies, as well as support risk and compliance and assist in the rollout of portfolio-wide initiatives. Additionally, the individual will spend time supporting other areas such as DCM, pricing, and commercial value creation. The Value Creation team is a pivotal part of the fund; therefore, this individual will play a key role in the journey of our portfolio companies and help drive strong returns.

• Organizing and managing extensive datasets related to current investments, encompassing financial data, market information, and financing details.
• Analyzing financial data to monitor the performance of existing investments, identifying areas for enhancement and opportunities for value creation.
• Developing tools and systems to enhance the efficiency of data management and analysis processes.
• Supporting risk assessments by analyzing data from portfolio companies.
• Assisting with pricing projects and broader commercial strategies, collaborating with advisors, and contributing to statistical analysis and modeling.
• Establishing and tracking key performance indicators for portfolio companies.
• Creating effective dashboards and reports to convey insights and recommendations to the investment team and portfolio company management teams.

Required experience: 
Between 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within strategy consulting or accountancy firms.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Preference for experience with tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
