Stewardship Associate

A top-tier global asset manager is seeking a Stewardship Associate to join and help build out a newly established team within their industry-leading stewardship division in London. This team focuses on active engagement and proxy voting for publicly listed companies within the firm’s investment portfolios, in alignment with ESG and stewardship objectives. Additionally, the role will support portfolio managers in their investment decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage company engagements within assigned sectors, focusing on governance and sustainability practices.
• Conduct in-depth analysis to inform proxy voting and engagement strategies for client and firm-held portfolios.
• Support portfolio managers with relevant financial and sustainability insights to aid in investment decisions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience: 4–6 years in financial services, with strong proficiency in financial statements and corporate finance.
• Background in Stewardship/Proxy Voting: Prior experience in a stewardship or proxy voting capacity is preferred.
• Analytical Skills: Strong financial and data analysis skills are an asset for this role, aiding in research and decision-making.
