Our client is a leading advisory firm, specialising in facilitating transactions in the private equity secondary market and is looking to hire an Analyst into the team to help further the growth and development in the market.
As an Analyst, you will specialise and play a pivotal role in supporting the execution of secondary transactions across both the GP-led and LP-Portfolio space. You will work closely with senior team members to conduct due diligence, and contribute to the successful closure of deals, whilst also having direct external client contact. Your financial acumen, analytical skills, commercial capabilities and strong attention to detail will be crucial in driving the team’s success.
Responsibilities
- Supporting team members on all aspects of Transactions deal management
- Working in small deal teams of 3-4 members, working closely with private equity sponsor clients of similar sizes, in engagements ranging from 3-6 months long
- Conducting analytics into GP fund portfolio(s) and underlying portfolio companies, including valuation, track record, financial performance, and market opportunity
- Helping to prepare marketing materials (e.g. pitchbooks, IMs, LBO models, case studies)
- Helping to coordinate and prioritise potential buyer interactions
- Responding to investor DD questions
- Helping to address any process challenges
- Origination work with opportunity to better understand an essential aspect of our client's business, attend meetings with GPs and keep up to date with the European GP landscape
Experience
- Strong interest in the private equity / secondaries market and an understanding of private equity performance metrics
- High level of attention to detail required across all materials
- High level of organisation skill, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- An understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement)
- Strong English writing skills with the ability to produce precise and thoughtful written content
- Strong numerical and Excel skills
- Experience working in PowerPoint essential
