M&A Director

Backed by a leading PE fund, the company is looking to embark on it's next phase of growth, with M&A forming a core part of the value-creation plan.

Operating on a pan-European-basis, the company designs, manufactures and distributes industrial products.

To complement its organic growth, the company has already successfully made acquisitions, and are now looking for an experienced M&A professional to drive this further, with the expectation of completing 1-2 deals a year in the £1m to £5m EBITDA range.
 

Responsibilities

Reporting into the CEO, the M&A Director will take ownership of the M&A strategy, from identification of targets and approaches, through leading the evaluation of targets to execution of transactions and negotiations. The M&A Director will also have high-level oversight of integrations in an overall project management capacity, working alongside relevant functional areas and country / business units.
 

Desired Experience

The successful candidate will have the following profile:

• Experienced M&A professional, with current/ previous Corporate Development experience
• Has led small and mid-cap transactions from end-to-end, taking overall responsibility for sourcing and executing deals
• Has the drive and enthusiasm required to lead M&A combined with the EQ to win the hearts and minds of targets that are often owner-managed
• Exposure to integrations and other strategic projects would be advantageous
• Experience in the industrial/ engineering products sector is advantageous
• Self-starter and able to work independently 
• Flexibility to travel as part of the role
