YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
Execution
- Own transaction execution from initial screening through closing, including complex financial modeling, valuation analysis, and Investment Committee presentation preparation
- Direct due diligence processes across technical, legal, financial, tax, and commercial workstreams; coordinate with external advisors and internal experts to manage scope and timeline
- Lead transaction structuring negotiations with sellers, partners, lenders, and co-investors
- Develop investment theses and market strategies aligned with sector and geographic focus
- Build and maintain relationships with key market participants, advisors, and potential co-investment partners
Asset Management & Value Creation
- Lead add-on acquisition strategies and execution for portfolio companies
- Own refinancing workstreams and direct debt capital structure optimization initiatives
- Drive active value creation processes on portfolio companies, developing and executing 100-day plans and multi-year value creation strategies
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators against investment theses; escalate risks and opportunities to senior leadership
- Maintain and evolve valuation models to track investment performance; coordinate with valuation agents and external stakeholders
- Provide strategic support through qualitative and quantitative analysis; manage legal agreements related to capital structure, business strategy, and regulatory developments
- Prepare comprehensive periodic reports for investors, lenders, and Investment Committees
- Manage and enhance relationships with industry partners, service providers, and portfolio company management teams; lead retendering processes as required
- Oversee liquidity planning, debt utilization, equity drawdown management, and financial covenant compliance
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor and develop junior team members (Associates and Analysts)
- Delegate investment workstreams and provide oversight of analytical work
- Contribute to investment committee discussions and strategic decision-making
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Required
- Outstanding academic credentials from a top-tier university or business school
- 7-10+ years of relevant experience in energy/utilities, infrastructure, M&A/private equity, or comparable investment roles
- Deep affinity for energy technologies and power markets; robust knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, and valuation
- Proven expertise in complex financial modeling, valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, comps analysis), and capital structuring
- Demonstrated track record of successful deal sourcing, execution, and value creation
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strategic and conceptual thinking capability
- Proven leadership experience; ability to mentor junior talent and manage stakeholder relationships
Preferred
- Direct experience in energy infrastructure or utilities sector investing
- Track record of leading add-on acquisitions and value creation initiatives
- Strong network in European energy markets
- Experience with debt refinancing and capital structure optimization
