Client Services and Fundraising Associate

Our client is a well-known and highly regarded private equity firm with c$100bn in FUM. They are looking to add to an Associate into their IR team, this person will ideally come from a placement agent, in house IR role or M&A seat.

Responsibilities


Responsibilities – Client Services
  • Work with the team on the continuing development of Client Service processes and infrastructure in response to LP base and organisational developments
  • Contribute to formal periodic reporting requirements 
  • Responsibility for the production and maintenance of high-quality LP marketing materials
  • Ad-hoc content creation of bespoke materials and analysis in response to specific LP issues
  • Process and content support on LP DDQs; track-record information; other as required
  • CRM system ongoing development and process management
  • Assist in the production of client facing events - LPACs; AGMs etc
  • Opportunity to be involved in broader firmwide strategic projects and business development initiatives
Responsibilities – LP Meetings
  • Existing LP meetings – attend with a colleague, or where appropriate lead, update meetings with select existing LPs
  • Support ongoing prospective LP relationship development activities
  • Take responsibility for specific LP follow-up, ensuring agreed next steps are prosecuted promptly
  • Oversee preparation of complex meeting schedules including (virtual) roadshows

Experience

Experience and Knowledge
  • A background in law, strategy consultancy, investor relations within private equity, investment banking or private equity placement agent
  • Demonstrable experience in project management and senior stakeholder management
  • Graduate from a top university; 2:1 or better preferable; may or may not have MBA
  • Ideally trained within blue chip professional services firms
Skills
  • Strong intellect; analytically minded
  • Good interpersonal skills – versatile style; good listener
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Excellent communicator, both orally and in written materials
  • Highly numerate; able to manipulate data and produce sound analysis. Fluency in Microsoft Excel is a key requirement
  • Drilled in ‘zero defects’ standards for client-ready materials
