The successful candidate will work closely with other analysts and associates and support senior investment bankers in our transaction processes and other engagements with a primary focus on private markets managers (private equity, private credit, real estate and/or infrastructure).
Responsibilities:
- Financial Modeling: input client-specific data into proprietary Excel templates and customize/ manipulate such templates for the individual assignments
- Client Presentations: edit and manipulate existing PowerPoint marketing presentations and create new content
- Process Management: organize due diligence materials and data rooms, organize meetings and manage communication with potential bidders
- Internal Databases and Proprietary Research: develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases to query, analyze and report on industry transaction activity, including by extracting data and reports from third-party databases
- Business Development: support efforts including compiling lists of prospective clients, preparing marketing materials and monitoring the business development pipeline
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree with demonstrated academic achievement
- 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on either M&A advisory or structuring of private placements
- Motivation to learn about the investment management industry and solve finance-related strategic problems for clients
- Extensive experience in MS Office products, with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Attention to detail, particularly as it relates to creating client-ready Excel models, PowerPoint presentations and other deliverables
- Highly proficient using Excel formulas efficiently to extract relevant data from large, disorganized data sets
- Experience with, and enthusiasm for, building and analyzing income statement projections
- Good communication skills, and the desire to work in an entrepreneurial, small team environment
- Series 79 and 63 preferred
