He joined Dartmouth Partners in June 2013 as a Non-Executive Director and retains that role as well as becoming a Senior Advisor to the Group. Joining Dartmouth Partners Legal are Mary Verity (former Travers Smith LLP and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP) and Piers Collins (co-founder, Dartmouth Partners). Mary Verity previously worked at another specialist legal recruitment consultancy and Piers Collins moves across from the existing Dartmouth Partners recruitment business.
In addition, Katharine Foster and Emma Bennett join the team as an Associate and Researcher respectively. The team has over 20 years’ experience in recruiting associates, partners and teams into private practice. Dartmouth Partners Legal will initially focus on private practice recruitment in the UK and intends to widen its remit to leverage the synergies with the existing Dartmouth Partners business.
Since its launch in 2012, Dartmouth Partners has swiftly grown into a market leader in the financial services and corporate recruitment space. Its unique “Classroom to Boardroom” model focuses on identifying elite talent at an early stage and offering clients access to rising stars and the future leaders of tomorrow. Dartmouth Partners has been described as “one of the most disruptive, innovative businesses in the UK” by Real Business and recently ranked 7th in the UK’s top 100 start-ups.
Gavin comments: “The time is right for a disruptive recruitment company to challenge the status quo. That is exactly what we propose to do. There are very few recruitment players who have successfully bridged and dominated the financial services and corporate sectors as well as conquering legal recruitment. Dartmouth Partners aspires to excel at both. We are already a dominant player in the City in M&A and Private Equity. We relish the opportunity to make our mark in the legal space too.”
Logan Naidu the Chief Executive Officer of Dartmouth Partners and who was previously listed as one of the top 30 business leaders under 35 years old and has this year been nominated as one of The Sunday Times/ Debrett’s Top 500 most influential people in the UK, commented: “I am extremely excited by the beginning of a new recruitment chapter. The business has doubled in size year on year since 2012. Legal dovetails neatly with our current divisions and there are great synergies and opportunities for us to fulfil our corporate ambition to be number one or number two in all our markets”.
