The company is going through an exciting time in their development, with a clear mandate to grow, both organically and through acquisition. As the Head of M&A, you will be reporting into the CEO and be wholly responsible for transactions from research and origination through execution, including negotiations. The successful candidate would therefore have:

  • Experience / track record in investment sourcing in the consumer / media / marketing-communications sectors
  • Experience in conducting due diligence on potential targets and an ability to interact with third party service providers through the process
  • Experience in M&A transaction structuring using a range of mechanisms (cash, equity, earn outs, convertibles etc)
  • Experience in drafting term sheets and long form transaction documentation supported by the relevant in-house or third party legal resource
  • Experience of transactions in the marketing-communications sector outside of the UK
  • Experience in building presentations and Offering Memorandums to assist in fund raising processes for the company
  • Strong Excel (including financial modelling) and presentation skills

The ideal candidate is likely to come with one the following backgrounds:

  • In-house M&A department of a leading media owner, media agency or corporate entity
  • Investment Professional from the VC or private equity space with a track record in consumer / media / marketing-communications
  • Investment banker with at least 5 years’ experience and a focus on consumer / media / marketing-communications
